Hi all, i know how it is to suffer from a problem like this. I've struggling from this like a few months with the usual ups and downs so i truly know its not fun when you have a illness like this. At some website i noticed some people were pretty happy about a capsule they got from the internet and i also ordered it when i found those pills at - herbalhealingstore dot com -. So you see, these pills do work, you just have to find the good ones!

Dear Lisa,

I Read your article. It was lengthy but very interesting.I wonder why your locals didn,t contact you.May be your neighbourhood consist of peoples who just don,t go to craiglist or Pay Per Click Services ?Exchanging fruits and veges with each other is common in my neighbourhood. No doubt that grouvia.com is a site worth seeing.

Neil - thank you for your excellent question.

That particular bullet point you referenced was part of the "What is Grouvia?" section of the post, not part of "Why is Grouvia not like Facebook." I did not intend for people to think that Facebook does not do any of those things because Facebook does SOME of them differently.

The main idea I'm trying to convey is that Grouvia's purpose is very different from Facebook's. Grouvia's purpose is to help you organize your life off-line. We want you to be able to organize and manage your group activities quickly and easily - so you can go and enjoy your life away from the computer. I might argue that the purpose of Facebook is to keep you tied to your computer. Even if you're using their Groups and Events features.

I have used the Facebook Groups and Events features and found their usefulness to be limited. After reading your comment, I searched for "hiking" on Facebook and found two groups, neither of which is local to me or a group I could hike with. The bigger one of the two has 46 discussion topics available and 225 wall posts, which amount to basically member comments.

There were no events, no announcements, no calendar, no promotional features (i.e. keywords or organic marketing), and no information about the group really except for a link to a web site written in Russian.

From my point of view - as someone who hasn't organized a group on Facebook - I don't see any automation, which could save group organizers a ton of time. So to put my money where my mouth is, I will go start a Facebook group and *really* see what it can do from an organizer's perspective, how that compares to Grouvia, and I'll document what I find in future posts.

Thank you again for your comments, I appreciate your input and welcome all opinions and challenges.
